Morgan Stanley strategist: Geopolitical sell-offs usually fade quickly

according to Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley strategist Wilson said that although the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities dominated the headlines, sell-offs triggered by geopolitical events usually last for a short period of time. After the US joined Israel's attack over the weekend, the market reaction was relatively mild, with Brent crude oil prices briefly rising by 5.7%, but most of the gains were given back on Monday. However, Iran may respond to the escalating situation by disrupting navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is a vital shipping route for global oil and natural gas.
