South Korean actress Hwang Jung-eum, who was sued for allegedly embezzling 4.2 billion Korean won (approximately 3.07 million US dollars) from her company and investing in virtual currency, has managed her assets and repaid the full amount. Her agency Y1 Entertainment stated on the 17th that Hwang Jung-eum had repaid the amount withdrawn as debt from Xunmin Zhengyin Entertainment on the 30th of last month and the 5th of this month. Previously, around 2022, Hwang Jung-eum embezzled 4.34 billion Korean won from Xunmin Zhengyin Entertainment and invested 4.2 billion Korean won in virtual currency, leading to a trial for alleged violation of the "Specific Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment and Related Laws" (embezzlement).
