on September 5th, Anthropic announced the immediate cessation of providing Claude to groups or their subsidiaries with the majority of equity held by Chinese capital. This policy applies not only to mainland Chinese companies, but also to those overseas subsidiaries, cloud service intermediary entities, or organizations with Chinese background investment entities. Anthropic stated in its official website announcement that this move is in response to legal, regulatory, and national security risks.
