Zhao contributed 1,000 BNB tokens to the relief funds for the affected regions on March 3, as reported by blockchain data. The donation came in response to a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Thailand and Myanmar on March 28, resulting in significant damage and casualties. Zhao's donation highlights the growing significance of cryptocurrency in humanitarian aid, offering advantages such as speed and direct delivery to recipients in need. Additionally, The Giving Block has initiated a crypto-based emergency relief campaign to raise $500,000 for the affected areas in Myanmar and Thailand.
