Capital Economics: Trump's nomination of his economic adviser to the Federal Reserve is a welcome surprise

Paul Ashworth, a macroeconomist at Capital Economics, wrote that President Trump's nomination of his economic advisor Stephen Moore to the Federal Reserve Board is a good choice. Moore will currently fill a vacancy on the Federal Reserve Board in the short term, but Ashworth said he may be renominated, especially if he leans towards the rate cuts strongly supported by Trump. This move is "a welcome surprise."
