Sonic announced on the X platform: all nodes on the main network and test network must upgrade to version 2.1.2 immediately to avoid disconnection. This version introduces native cost subsidies and key security improvements. Before Sonic's main network is fully upgraded to Pectra compatibility, it replaces the early v2.1. It is suitable for validators, RPC providers, archival nodes, exchanges, and other node operators. After the upgrade, the nodes will continue to run on the current main network until a full transition is made on November 3, 2025.
